All of these guys and or girls were photographed at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Cambridge, MD.  They have a garden with native plants designed to attract pollinators.  And hoo boy did it ever!  It was like walking into a butterfly conservatory so many of them flitting about.

I often think of the Monarch missing its lower wings, did it make it to Mexico?
